CHARITABLE WORK

SOUTH AFRICAN COVID RELIEF - 2020

The Directors of WTS have always taken a keen personal interest in South Africa ever since visiting a township whilst on holiday after the fall of apartheid.
The Covid pandemic has taken a terrible toll in South Africa, leaving many people without work and food and with no social safety net available to help people through the pandemic
WTS has donated £300 to the SA Covid Relief Fund via a charity based in the township of Masiphumelele on the outskirts of Cape Town.
The charity, Masiphumelele Creative Hub has been running a feeding scheme for 1,100 children since the start of the national lockdown.
WTS will continue donating to this worthwhile charity.

CHILDREN’S SERVICES – NORTHUMBERLAND - 2020

WTS have tested free of charge, a house to be made available through a charitable fund for Northumberland County Council Strategic Estates/Legal Services to house a vulnerable person leaving children’s services.
The charitable fund will ensure the young adult will have the upmost support and care going forward. WTS were more than willing to help out in any way possible.

THE PEOPLES KITCHEN – NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE - 2017

The Peoples Kitchen provides vital support to the homeless and disadvantaged in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne.
When WTS became involved in electrical compliance for the peoples kitchen in 2017, we offered our services and advice free of charge after being inspired by the work we witnessed.
The whole building was electrically inspected and tested for the charity, so that valuable resources could be focused on front line activities.
We look forward to undertaking the same activity, free of charge for the charity in 2022.
