Waveform Technical Services limited was established in 2010 to provide a bespoke electrical compliance service for clients primarily based within the North East of England. Since 2010 the company has grown and undertaken work throughout the whole of the UK mainly through recommendations and referrals.
The company’s goal from day one was to change the way in which electrical inspection and testing was reported. The majority of electrical inspection reports then, and now, are still based on an EICR document filled with numbers and a list of defects and observations that are not always easy to understand, even to the trained eye. We wanted to produce a separate technical report in conjunction with the EICR which allows our clients to visually review the reports in such a manner that any remedial work and recommendations can be assessed in clarity and actioned accordingly.
The method of issuing technical reports alongside the EICR ‘certificate’ has been created by the Technical Director of WTS over the last 10 years. Each report is created by the Technical Director using various tools such as pictures, thermal scans, load profile analysis and technical data sheets, combined into a single report to give the most thorough and correct advise to the client ordering the works.
The company has undertaken over 1,500 inspections in the last 10 years, ranging from the largest high schools to the most complex police stations and pharmaceutical sites. Each type of building having its own unique challenges, special locations and requirements.
The Technical Director for WTS has over 25 years’ experience of electrical inspection and testing which ensures that all projects undertaken by the company are scrutinised to the highest standard.
