TESTING

On every project we have a minimum of 2 Megger multi-function testers available so that the engineer can always double check results if there is any doubt about certain readings exceeding parameters.
This includes high resolution loop impedance meters, earth leakage clamp meters and specialist RCD testers for testing the latest EV car charging units.
In our experience, it is imperative that the engineer using any test equipment must know what the readings displayed actually indicate. These readings must be logged and quickly evaluated by the engineer.
Knowing whether the readings obtained are a ‘pass or fail’ is critical and takes year's of experience to know when a reading looks incorrect. The readings obtained will vary greatly depending on the types of earthing system the building utilizes, which must be verified by the engineer on site.

The art of testing is knowing what the tolerance of the readings should be in advance of the final displayed value. All of our test equipment, thermal cameras and power quality analysers are calibrated annually by INLEC Ltd.
